Please reach us at hello@contractingnow.io if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Contracting Now offers roofing services including roof build out, roof replacement, and storm restoration re-roofing.
We work hard to be as transparent as possible about what your subcontractor is charging you and what the needed materials are that will be delivered. Because roofing installation is unique to your home and there could be unforeseen items or costs that come up once the project is underway with the removal of your old roof system. Hidden defects in the roof system will be uncovered at that time. We add high percentages of waste with extra materials so that if something unseen comes up then they will have what they need onsite but if it is beyond the original scope of work then the subcontractor can review the change order with you at the time of discovery. If the materials are unused there will be an option for those items to be returned.
Your roof will be installed by a trusted, vetted, Subcontractor that you can choose from on a list with their work experience and labor warranties. All of the crews have insurance, and are currently working for local Roofing Companies installing their roof replacements and have been in business for at least 5 years. You can be confident the process will be mapped out from beginning to end and the installation will look beautiful.
Approximately 1-3 days before your installation is scheduled.
Most roofs can be completed in 1-2 days. It depends on the size, height, slope and complexity of the roof.
Most likely they will have to be replaced as the construction process happens above them. The steepness of the roof, weather conditions, and gravity can cause the debris to fall across the tops of the gutters and you should have plans to replace them after the roof is installed. After the roof is installed you can make that decision based on the appearance of the gutters.
You should call your solar provider before and schedule with them to remove your panels before you get your roof installed.
In roofing there is a waste factor and that has to be accounted for and since every roof system is different more materials are needed to account for a shingle having to be cut at a valley or the end of the roof system. There will be an option to return unused materials for a restock fee if you do not want to keep unused materials.
